- Browsing data (non-personal or pseudonymous): Information collected automatically when you interact with our website, which helps us understand how the website is used and improve it:
- IP address: To identify your general geographic location and for security.
- Browser type and operating system: To optimize how the website is displayed.
- Pages visited and time spent: To analyze user interest and improve the content.
- Device data: The type of device used (mobile, desktop).

How do we collect data?

Purpose of data collection (why do we collect data?)
We collect and process your data for the following purposes:
- Managing appointments: To confirm, change or cancel the appointments you request.
- Responding to requests: To provide the information or answers you asked for through forms or by email.
- Improving our services: To analyze how the website is used and identify ways to improve the user experience and the services we offer.
- Marketing communications (with express consent): Only if you have given your explicit consent may we send you newsletters, offers or other relevant communications. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
- Legal compliance: To meet our legal obligations and applicable regulations.
How do we store and protect data?
The security of your data is a priority for us. We have put in place appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the data we collect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction:
- SSL encryption: Our website uses an SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificate to encrypt communications between your browser and the server, ensuring that the data transmitted is private and secure.
- Restricted access: Access to personal data is limited to authorized Dental CATTED staff who need this information to carry out their duties.
- IT security measures: We use cybersecurity solutions (firewalls, antivirus) to protect our systems.
- Internal procedures: Our staff members are trained on the importance of data privacy and security.
How long do we keep data?
We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or for as long as required by law. For example:
- Data relating to appointments or requests will be kept for as long as needed to handle them, and for a reasonable period afterward in case follow-up is needed. Messages sent through the website form are kept for no more than 24 months from submission and are then deleted automatically.
- Data used for direct marketing (if you have given your consent) will be kept until you withdraw your consent, or for a defined period, in accordance with the law.
- Newsletter: when you subscribe (in the website footer or by checking the newsletter option in the appointment form), we keep your first name, last name, email address, the date you subscribed, your language and the page you subscribed from, without your IP address. We use them only to send you tips and news from Dental CATTED. On the website, this data is deleted automatically 12 months after you subscribe, or earlier, once the list is moved to the platform we use to send emails (Mailchimp), where we keep it until you unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the end of every email or by writing to us at salut@dentalcatted.ro.
- Browsing data may be kept for shorter periods, in line with the cookie policies and the web analytics services.
Sharing data with third parties
We do not sell, rent or transfer your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes. We may share your data only in the following situations:
- Service providers: With partners who provide us with essential services (e.g. web hosting, email marketing platforms, web traffic analytics), under contracts that require them to respect the confidentiality and security of the data.
- Google (enhanced conversions): only when we run Google Ads campaigns and only if you have accepted Marketing cookies, when you submit the appointment form or subscribe to the newsletter, the email address, phone number and name you enter may be sent to Google in irreversibly encrypted form (SHA-256 hash), so that we can measure how many appointment requests come from our ads. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the “Cookie settings” link.
- Legal obligations: If we are required by law, or by a court or administrative decision, to disclose certain data.
- Competent authorities: With health authorities or other regulatory bodies, in accordance with applicable law.
Publishing to social media through API apps
Dental CATTED automatically publishes its own content (blog articles, images and videos) to the clinic's official accounts on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn and Google Business Profile. Publishing is done from the dentalcatted.ro website, through an internal app (“DC Site Social Publisher”) that uses the official interfaces (APIs) of these platforms: Meta Graph API and Instagram API, YouTube API Services, TikTok Content Posting API, LinkedIn API and Google Business Profile API.
Who uses the app. The app is used only by the clinic's administrators, for the clinic's accounts. It is not offered to website visitors or patients, and it does not ask them to connect their accounts.
What data the app accesses and stores. The app accesses only the data needed to publish to the clinic's accounts:
- the access tokens issued by the platforms for the clinic's accounts, stored encrypted in the website's database, with access restricted to the website administrators;
- the identifiers of the clinic's accounts, pages and channel;
- the content we publish (texts, images, videos), the identifiers of the posts created and a publishing log (date, platform, result).
Through these APIs, the app does not collect personal data of visitors, patients, followers or people who comment.
How we use this data and who we share it with. The data above is used solely to publish and schedule the clinic's content and to check whether publishing succeeded. Content is sent only to the platform it is published on. We do not sell this data, we do not pass it on to other third parties, we do not use it for advertising and we do not use it to train artificial intelligence models. The use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
YouTube and Google. The app uses YouTube API Services. Google's processing of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. Embedded YouTube videos may appear on the website; these are served by YouTube, which may place cookies or similar technologies on your device, in accordance with the Cookie Policy and Google's policy.
Revoking access. The app's access to an account can be withdrawn at any time from that platform's settings. For Google accounts (YouTube, Google Business Profile), access is revoked from the Google security page: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. For Facebook and Instagram: Settings → Business integrations. For TikTok and LinkedIn: the connected apps section of your account settings.
Deleting data stored by the app
To request deletion of the data stored by the app (tokens, identifiers, publishing log), write to us at salut@dentalcatted.ro with the subject “Ștergere date aplicație” (App data deletion). Please specify the platform and the account. We delete the data within 30 days at most and confirm by email. Revoking access from the platform's settings (see above) immediately stops the tokens from being used; they are then deleted from the website's database. Posts already published on the clinic's accounts are not affected by the deletion of this data; they can be deleted directly on the platform.
