All-on-4, All-on-6 and All-on-X in Pipera: treatment stages and prices

Fixed teeth on implants: from the provisional prosthesis to the final restoration

At Dental CATTED, we understand the major impact that losing all your teeth has on quality of life. That is why we offer full-mouth oral rehabilitation in Pipera, north Bucharest, using All-on-4, All-on-6 and All-on-8 dental implant techniques. These methods can allow a fixed provisional prosthesis shortly after surgery, when the clinical situation permits, followed by the final All-on-X solution. All-on techniques can restore function and appearance early on for patients who have lost most of their natural teeth.

  • A fixed smile, quickly: A provisional restoration shortly after surgery.
  • A complete solution: Replacing all the teeth in one arch.
  • Stability and comfort: Fixed restorations that feel similar to natural teeth.

What are All-on techniques and the final All-on-X solution?

Full-arch implant systems in Pipera

The All-on-4 and All-on-6 concepts are designed to rehabilitate a complete arch using a small number of implants. In many cases, this method of fixed teeth on implants removes the need for complex bone grafts.

The final All-on-X prosthesis is a fixed full-arch prosthetic restoration, made from biocompatible materials (such as zirconia) to closely imitate the appearance and strength of natural teeth.

Types of All-on solutions at Dental CATTED

All-on-4 (provisional)

Uses 4 strategically placed dental implants to support a complete fixed provisional prosthesis on one arch. It is well suited to cases with reduced bone volume in the back of the jaw.

All-on-6 (provisional)

Involves placing 6 implants for greater stability and better distribution of chewing forces for the provisional prosthesis – a robust option for the short term.

All-on-8 (provisional)

In cases with generous bone volume and for additional stability, 8 implants can be placed for the provisional prosthesis.

All-on-X (final)

This is the complete final prosthesis (a whole arch), made from strong materials (e.g., zirconia) and fixed on the implants (4, 6, 8 or more) that were placed initially and have osseointegrated. It is the long-term solution for a functional and aesthetic smile.

Step by step

The All-on treatment process at Dental CATTED

Every stage of All-on treatment at Dental CATTED is carefully planned and precisely carried out, for an efficient and comfortable journey for the patient, from the provisional to the final solution:

  1. 1

    Initial consultation and detailed planning

A complete assessment of your oral health is carried out, including panoramic X-rays and 3D CBCT scans, to determine the exact number and position of the implants. Planning is done digitally.

  2. 2

    Surgical placement of the implants

Under local anesthesia (or conscious sedation), the implants are strategically placed in the bone. Any necessary extractions are carried out in the same session, if possible.

  3. 3

    Fitting the fixed provisional prosthesis

Soon after surgery, the patient receives a fixed provisional prosthesis (All-on-4, All-on-6 or All-on-8, depending on the case), providing function and appearance straight away during the healing period.

  4. 4

    Osseointegration and healing period

This is followed by a period of 4–6 months during which the implants integrate with the bone and the tissues heal. The provisional prosthesis keeps you comfortable during this time.

  5. 5

Making and fitting the final All-on-X prosthesis

Once the implants have integrated, digital impressions are taken and the final prosthesis is made (All-on-X, usually in zirconia), which is then permanently fixed on the implants, offering stability and a natural appearance.

FAQ

Have questions? We have answers!

Treatment room at Dental CATTED
Who is a suitable candidate for All-on techniques?

All-on techniques are well suited to patients who have lost all the teeth in one arch (complete tooth loss) and want a fixed, quick and durable solution. They are also suitable for people with reduced bone volume, as they allow strategic placement of the implants to avoid extensive bone grafting.

What is the main difference between a traditional removable denture and an All-on prosthesis?

The main difference lies in stability and comfort. Unlike a removable denture, an All-on prosthesis is permanently fixed on implants, so it does not move when you speak or chew. It feels very similar to natural teeth, and the roof of the mouth stays uncovered, unlike traditional dentures.

Is placing All-on implants painful?

The procedure is carried out under local anesthesia and, if needed, conscious sedation can be chosen, so that you should not feel pain during the procedure. Any post-operative discomfort can be managed with the prescribed medication.

How long does the final All-on-X prosthesis last?

Final prostheses made of zirconia are designed to last for many years, provided good oral hygiene is maintained.

Using a water flosser is essential to clean the space between the gum and the prosthesis, together with checkups every 6 months at our clinic.

What does the price of the final All-on-X prosthesis include?

The price of 25,000 RON for the final All-on-X prosthesis covers the complete fixed prosthetic structure (one arch) that will be permanently attached to the integrated implants. It covers the materials (usually zirconia), the laboratory work and the adjustments needed for a precise fit and a natural appearance. The price does not include the cost of the dental implants themselves or of the provisional prosthesis.

How do I look after my All-on-X prosthesis?

Caring for an All-on-X prosthesis is similar to caring for natural teeth. It is essential to brush regularly, to use a water flosser and/or special floss to clean under the bridge, and to visit your dentist for regular checkups and professional cleaning.

What are the possible risks or complications?

As with any surgical procedure, there are risks, such as infection or failure of osseointegration, although the success rate for All-on implants is high. Careful planning and following the post-operative instructions significantly reduce these risks. Your dentist will explain all the relevant aspects in detail during the consultation.

Can I eat anything with an All-on-X prosthesis?

Once treatment is complete and you have fully adapted to the final All-on-X prosthesis, you will be able to eat a very wide range of foods, much as you would with natural teeth. We do, however, recommend caution with very hard or sticky foods, just as with natural teeth.
