2026 resolutions: invest in your smile this year

“This year I’m going to take better care of myself.” How many times have you told yourself that at the end of December? New Year’s resolution lists are full of goals like going to the gym, eating healthily or traveling. But how often does your smile make the list?

If you looked at your Christmas photos and felt the urge to hide your teeth or smile with your lips closed, then 2026 should be the year of change. A healthy smile in 2026 is not just a question of image; it is an investment in your self-confidence and your long-term health.

Dental CATTED is currently closed for the holidays, but your plans don’t have to take a break. Here are 3 practical ways you can invest in yourself this year.

Cosmetic dentistry: veneers for a “smile makeover”

If you would like a visible change to your smile, dental veneers can be a suitable solution. They can correct many of the imperfections that have bothered you for years: stained teeth that do not respond to whitening, uneven shapes, unsightly gaps or small chips.

Think of veneers as a “new coat” for your teeth. They are an option for people who want an even, bright smile. Imagine smiling broadly, without holding back, in every photo of 2026!

Modern orthodontics: it’s never too late

Many adults think the time for braces passed with their teenage years. Not true! Technology has come a long way. Today you can straighten your teeth discreetly, without visible “wires” affecting your image at work or in your social life.

With clear aligner systems (transparent aligners such as Spark Aligners), hardly anyone will notice that you are wearing braces, but people will see your smile improving as the months go by. Starting orthodontic treatment in January is a good decision for the long-term health of your bite.

Dental implants: regain lost function

If you have lost a tooth (or several), you probably already know how much this affects not only appearance but also chewing and speech. Putting off treatment leads to bone loss and lets the remaining teeth drift.

In 2026 you can regain the freedom to smile and eat with confidence. A dental implant is a safe and long-lasting way of replacing missing teeth. It is an investment in your quality of life – being able to eat what you like and smile broadly, with confidence.

Why is January a good month to start?

There is a strong psychological reason to start in January: the “Fresh Start Effect”. When we begin a change at the start of a new time cycle, we are much more motivated to see it through.

In addition, January is a quieter month after the bustle of the holidays. It is a good time to come in for a comprehensive consultation, discuss the treatment plan and agree on the next steps, without time pressure.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

1. How much does a “new smile” cost?

Costs vary depending on the complexity of the problems and the solutions chosen (veneers, crowns, implants). Everything starts with a personalized treatment plan, which we will draw up at your first consultation of the year.

2. Can I book an appointment if the clinic is closed now?

Yes! Although we cannot be reached by phone until January 5, the contact form on the website works around the clock. Fill it out now and we will contact you as a priority on our first working day.

3. Do dental veneers destroy natural teeth?

No. Veneers require minimally invasive reshaping of the enamel, much more conservative than for conventional crowns. The health of the tooth is preserved.

4. How long until I see results?

Some treatments (whitening, minor cosmetic procedures) give immediate results. Others (veneers, implants) can take a few weeks, and orthodontics a few months. What matters is taking the first step!

5. When does Dental CATTED reopen?

We are back, with fresh energy, on January 8, 2026.
